These past few years have been extremely challenging for Sandra. She has been lost for some time now. Lost behind a mask carefully crafted, providing sanctuary for a face the world will never see. But in her mirror, her eyes reveal planetary movements that shift her from Jupiter’s good intentions into cosmic revelations of doors shutting in her face. Finally, she becomes brave enough to reach out to friend.
“I’m lost,” Sandra says. “I need help. I need help finding myself,” she stutters.
Her friend, concentrating on adding extra sprinkles to her latte, must think she’s joking, must think Sandra’s just fine thank you very much, because she laughs as though she’s heard something extremely funny. “Haha! Don’t we all! Need help finding ourselves.”
